This month’s Legend comes from Sugarpoultry. You can read our interview with her below.
1. Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Jennette Brown and I’m from Salt Lake City, Utah.
2. What got you into designing T-Shirts?
I got really into Doctor Who a few years ago and saw a lot of awesome T-Shirt designs and decided to give it a go. It ended up being so much fun and a great way to earn money for my family. Plus, I’m a huge geek and creating geeky things brings me so much joy! ? I became obsessed with creating things I would enjoy wearing.
3. Where did your artist name come from?
My artist name “Sugarpoultry” is kind of a long story. It’s a combination of two nick names I had from back in Middle School. “Sugar” and later on “Poultry” (which my friends thought sounded like my maiden name, Poulton). When it came to creating a more permanent nickname online, both individual names were taken, so I fused them together and thus “Sugarpoultry” was created.
4. Where do you get inspiration for your artwork?
A lot of inspiration comes from the many fandoms and shows that I love. I’m also in love with many artists’ styles and creations (many of which are on deviantART) and I just love to browse and experiment with different styles. I still feel like I have a lot to learn as an artist, so I’m always searching for inspiration.
5. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Flying! I would love to fly. With wings. Dragon wings, preferably!
6. What’s your favorite Zelda game?
Ocarina of Time is in my opinion one of the greatest games ever created. It’s challenging and has a great story. Not only that, but it was groundbreaking for its time.
7. If you had one piece of the Tri-Force, which would it be?
